Ann Mae Gentry reached the end of her wonderful life on February 11, 2023, at the age of 97.
Born in Frederickstown, Missouri on January 18, 1926, Ann was raised by her Aunt Audrey on a farm outside of Qulin. She was the third of four children and the only girl to three brothers.
She loved to style hair as she worked as a hairdresser, loved singing, gardening, going to yard sales, dressing up, and loved helping her family. She raised two daughters, Sherry and Lea, and a granddaughter, Amy.
The love of Ann’s life was serving the Lord. She lived a life that exemplified her walk with God and outpoured His love to anyone in need. Her desire was for everyone to be saved and walk with the Lord, especially her family. Her family benefitted from her prayers and her prayers for future generations. Her great grandchildren were prayed for from the moment of their announcement until her passing. Although Ann’s passing brings sadness it also is met with great joy that Ann will finally meet her maker and rejoice with Him. Ann was, and has been, ready to reach heaven and meet Jesus. 2 Timothy 4:7: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
Ann was predeceased by her daughter, Sherry Ann Frischer. She is survived by her daughter: Lea Brooks, of Cherryville.
She leaves behind her grandchildren: Amy Varner (and husband, Chris), and Kim Lackey and five great-grandchildren: Shepherd Varner, Rhodes Varner, Bowen Varner, Austin Lackey and Caydelin Lackey.
Graveside services will be held at 3:00 PM Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Hal Schwantes officiating.
