Becky Walls

Becky Gail Dellinger Walls, age 64 of Tot Dellinger Rd. passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday, January 25, 2022.  She was born December 18, 1957 in Cleveland County to the late Carl Chance “Boozie” Dellinger and Rachel Jane Travis Dellinger.  Becky was employed for 41 years with Carolina Care Health & Rehabilitation where she faithfully served as the Director for the Cottages and the Apartments.  She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and was a true people pleaser.  Becky, or “Beck” as she was affectionately known was the foundation of her family.  She was an amazing Nana, the planner, the leader, the boss, the cook, the shopping queen, the decorator.  She loved themed events.  She was the “care-for-everyone-else” type, the mom that loved and took such pride in her kids, the dependable and sacrificing caregiver of the family.  She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered always.

In addition to her parents, Carl “Boozie” and Rachel Dellinger, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Beverly Walls.

Survivors include her husband, Ron Walls; sons, Chesley Walls and wife, Crystal, and Travis Walls and wife, Whitney; daughters, Angie Anthony and husband, Wes, and Abby Brown and husband, Marcus; brother, Carl Michael “Little Booze” Dellinger and Nicole Blaylock; grandchildren, Katie Walls, Brent Walls, Lane Walker, Alli Anthony, Lawson Walls, Myles Brown, and Alex Anthony; niece and great nephew, Carly Dellinger and Silas Dellinger-Jenkins; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and other close relatives; and her Carolina Care Family, both past and present.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 29, 2022 from 1:00 to 2:30 PM at First Baptist Church in the COC and other times at the home.  A memorial service will follow on Saturday at 3:00 PM at First Baptist with Rev. Dr. Vince Hefner and Rev. Jerry Lail officiating.  A private inurnment will take place at the Columbarium at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
