Boyd Pruitt

Boyd Eugene "Jabo" Pruitt, age 44 of Leslie Dr passed away Friday, August 12, 2016 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. He was born on December 7, 1971 in Cleveland County to the late Bobby Ray Pruitt and Nancy Smith Voncannon. He was employed with Paul Morris Roofing and formerly with Steve Cody Roofing. He was a member of Patterson Springs Baptist and Blazin Trail Cowboy Church. Jabo enjoyed going on walks, fishing, and spending time with his grandson.

Survivors include his daughter, Kacie Pruitt Burgess (Thomas) of Lincolnton; grandson, Wyatt Burgess; wife, Tera Pyse Pruitt; brother, Robert Ray Pruitt (Misty) of Shelby; sisters, Amanda Pruitt (Wesley Harris) of Shelby, and Crystal Lewis (Sam) of Vale; stepmother, Katie Beatrice Schronce Pruitt of Lincolnton; best friend, Alisa Swink; six nieces and three nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Dwayne Pearson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Baptist Church in Newton. The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 12:00 to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
