Bryon Lee "Nick" Anthony, 68, of River Hill Tr., died January 8 2013 at Levine and Dickson Hospice House, Huntersville. He was born on July 28, 1944 in Gaston County, a son of the late Floyd Burton and Ruby Ledford Anthony.

Nick enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, camping and the outdoors. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church, where he was a member of the Lutheran Men in Mission, a member of the Republican Men, life member of the Boy Scouts, a Boy Scout leader and retired from the tool room at Duke Power with 28 years of service.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by a brother Dennis Burton Anthony.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years Ruby Nell Simmons Anthony, two sons Woodie Anthony and wife Lisa of Crouse, and Travis Anthony and wife Rachel, of Lincolnton, three grandchildren Alayna, Alycia, and Alexis Anthony, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Saturday Jan. 12, 2013 at Salem Lutheran Church at 2 PM with Rev. Dale Pederson and Rev. J. V. Allen officiating with burial to follow in City Memorial Cemetery, Cherryville. The family will receive friends Friday at Carpenter's Funeral Home from 6-8 PM and other times at the home.
