Camilla Beamer

Camilla Ilese Slaughter Beamer, age 82 of Claremont Rd. passed away Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at Frye Regional Medical Center. She was born May 23, 1936 in Lincoln County to the late Jake Luther and Lula Bell Moore Slaughter. She was a member of Jacob's Fork Baptist Church. Camilla was once an avid bowler and loved playing Bingo. She cherished the time she got to spend with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Sandra Beamer; granddaughter, Amy Beamer; and 12 late siblings.

Survivors include her children, Jacob Beamer of Roaring River, Wanda Ballard and husband, Mike of Lincolnton, Mark Beamer and wife, Teressa of Conover, and Darlene Beamer of Maiden; sister, Murriel Shuford of Newton; eleven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the former Jacob's Fork Baptist Church Cemetery, now known as Fairview Baptist Church at 3614 Wilfong Rd. Newton, NC. Pastor Greg Plott will be officiating.
