Carolyn White

Carolyn Faye Grant White, age 77, of Putnam St. passed away Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Carolinas Healthcare Systems Cleveland. She was born July 19, 1940 in Gaston County to the late Goldman Benjamin and Cora Elizabeth Layel Grant. Carolyn was previously employed with Homelite and was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was an avid Redskins fan, John Wayne follower and adored her grandbabies.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Doris Davis, Melton Grant and Harold 'Pete' Grant.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 42 years, Rudy Dan White of Cherryville; daughters, Tracy Lynn White of Cherryville and Kelly Sue White of Lenoir; grandchildren, Danielle, Kalleigh and Hunter; and brother, Charles Grant and wife, Barbara of Denver.

A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Lail and Rev. Jimmy Rudisill officiating. Burial will follow at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery. Family will receive friends Thursday from 1:30 until 2:45 PM in the church Fellowship Hall.
