Charles Edward “Blademan” Foster, age 77, of Mary’s Grove Church Rd. passed away Friday, June 30, 2023, at his residence. He was born October 22, 1945, in Cleveland County to the late John Howard Foster and Willie Rhea Huffstetler. Charles was self-employed as the owner of Bass Shack, in Shelby, since 1977. He was a pro bass fisherman and a member of the Cherryville Bassmaster Club. He enjoyed fishing, his tomato plants, John Deere tractors, and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Charles attended Midview Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Harold Dean Huffstetler and Gerald Kenneth Foster.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Teresa Ann Boone Foster; daughters and son-in-law, Darlene Crosby, and Michelle and Kellie Crotts; grandchildren, Stetson Foster, Corry Foster, James Worthy, and Dakota Brown; and 10 great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 4, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Midview Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Rice and Pastor Mike Rote officiating. Burial will follow funeral service at Hullender Family Cemetery in Kings Mountain. The family will receive friends Monday, July 3, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church.
