Christine Schronce

Christine "Teeny" Dellinger George Schronce, age 86, of Harrelson Road, formerly of Startown Road passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Carolina Care Center. She was born March 20, 1930 in Lincoln County to the late Paul Webster Dellinger Sr. and Illa Mae Byrd Dellinger. She was a member of First Baptist Church and retired after 25 years as an Inspector at Blackwelder Textiles. Teeny loved traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Charles Parker George; second husband, Billy Steve Schronce, Sr.; and brother, Paul Dellinger, Jr.

Survivors include her daughter, Phyllis Elaine George Whitesides and husband, Fred of Cherryville; grandsons, Chip Whitesides and wife, Ruthie of Crouse, and David Whitesides of Cherryville; great granddaughter, Kylie Whitesides; brother, Glenn Dellinger of Cherryville; sister, Beatrice D. Carpenter of Lincolnton; and stepchildren, Billy, Dana, and Jeanie and families.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 3:30 PM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Vince Hefner officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 3:15 PM at First Baptist prior to the service.
