Connie Hoyle

Connie Abernathy Hoyle, age 64 of Knottywood Lane passed away Monday, June 8, 2020 at Atrium Health Lincoln.  She was born April 30, 1956 in Cleveland County to Emmie Jeanette Morrison Abernathy and the late Thomas Hudson.  Connie loved animals.  She had 67 dibbies, several guineas, and numerous goats.  She especially loved nurturing the newborns and caring for them.  She also enjoyed flowers, gardening, and shopping.  Connie adored her family and her grandchildren.  She was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Gracie Shyann Hoyle; adopted father, Morris John Abernathy; and brothers, Gary and Dale Abernathy.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of nearly 47 years, Stowe “Stumpy” Hoyle; children, Luke Hoyle, Jacob Hoyle and fiancé, Mandy Bridges, Peggy Hoyle, and Kathy Hullender and husband, Chad; grandchildren, Becky, Ashley, Elizabeth, Brittany, and Madison Hoyle; great grandchildren, Olivia, Isaac, and Kelsey Thompson and Isabella Harrison; and brother, John David Abernathy and wife, Roxanne.

Mrs. Hoyle will lie-in-state on Friday, June 12, 2020 from 12:30 to 1:45 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services.  COVID19 Regulations will be observed during services.  The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jaie Warlick officiating.  Burial will be at Hester Family Cemetery.
