Cramer Slaughter

September 11, 1943 — May 2, 2018

Cramer Grier "Buddy" Slaughter, age 74 of Pine Street passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at his residence. He was born September 11, 1943 in Lincoln County to the late Cramer Martin Slaughter and Mary Brooks Slaughter Carpenter. Buddy enjoyed fishing and turtle hunting.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Jakie Slaughter, Jane Carpenter, and Evon McKinney.

Survivors include his wife, Terry Lail Slaughter; daughters, Renee McNeilly and husband, Clint of Shelby and Amy Slaughter of Cherryville; grandson, Casey McNeilly and wife, Kimberly; great granddaughter, Elisa Renee McNeilly; sisters, Carolyn Lail and husband, Jr., Barbara Smith, and Kathy Smith; brother-in-law, Buck Carpenter; dog, Rocky; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. Ricky Sigmon officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:30 to 12:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
