Frances Nevins

Frances Lucille Gillette Nevins, age 80, of South Dekalb Street, passed away Tuesday January 14, 2020 at her residence. She was born December 18, 1939 in Marion County Kansas to the late James and Betty Kirts Gillette.

Lucille was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Unit 82. She enjoyed line dancing, playing Yahtzee, and was an avid NASCAR fan. Her favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt Sr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Nevins; brother, Erwin Gillette, sister, Shirley Concannon; and grandson Brett Nevins.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Brad Nevins (Sherry) of Cherryville; daughter, Crystal Johnston (Chad), of Raleigh; sister, Maxine Peterson; grandchildren, Courtney Milne (Dave), Natalie Clark (Ryan); great-grandchildren, Elliott & Cooper Clark, and Adalynn Nevins.
