Gladys Biddix

Gladys Irene Warlick Biddix, age 82 of Sorrells Baxter Rd. passed away Thursday, June 8, 2017 at Abernethy Laurels in Newton, NC. She was born October 16, 1934 in Lincoln County to the late Joe and Vergie Warlick. She enjoyed going for rides and visiting the Mountains. Gladys also enjoyed a good meal and loved going to eat with friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Leon Biddix; daughter, Sharon Dixon; son, Colin Bumgarner; and siblings, Harley Warlick, Steve Warlick, and Evelyn Peeler.

Survivors include her children, Randy Bumgarner and Connie Smith and husband, Ronnie; brothers, Willard Warlick and Hugh Warlick; eight grandchildren, Devan, Emily, Marie, Adam, Ashlie, Travis, Katie, and Daniel; and five great grandchildren, Wyatt, Mia, Zya, Zayden, and Aubrey.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 11, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral & Cremation Services. Burial will follow at Roseland Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 2:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
