Joey Jones

Joey "Fuzzy" Lister Jones, 38, of West First Street, died suddenly Saturday August 20. 2016. He was born on July 23, 1978 in Cleveland Co. a son of David Jones of Lawndale and Tina Baker Jones of Cherryville. Joey was formerly employed at Walmart distribution Center, Shelby. Joey loved his family, the Dallas Cowboys, was an avid outdoorsman, was just a country boy, and was a regular old Jones.

In addition to his parents he is survived by a daughter, Margaret Grace Jones; sister, Cathy Owens (Jason) of Cherryville; brother, Gary Jones (Tara) of Cherryville; mother of his child, Allison Bennett; nieces and nephews, Anna Leigh Jones, Tanner Jones, Jackson Owens, and Bailey Owens; and his favorite Uncle Russell Jones.

A memorial Service will be held Wednesday August 24, 2016 at 4 PM at the home of Russell Jones, 304 C. Street, Cherryville with Rev. Leonard Bumgardner officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends after the services.
