John Sloan

John Henry Sloan, age 54, of Black Jack Ln. passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018 at his residence. He was born August 18, 1963 in Mecklenburg County to Elizabeth Ann Elliott Amos. He was a realtor for many years and worked for Southern Winds Realty. John had a larger than life personality and a contagious laugh. He enjoyed bowling, dodgeball, traveling and loved his family.

He is preceded in death by his partner of 20 years, Jim McNabb; step-father, Bill Amos and his beloved pug, Bruno.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by adoptive father, David Aaron Sloan; siblings, Scott Sloan and wife, Donna and Kim Sloan; nephews, David and Michael Sloan and his beloved pugs, Austin, Vegas and Toby Vance.

The family will host a celebration of life on Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 3:00 until 6:00PM at John and Jim's Residence. Burial will be private.
