Kerry Johnson

Kerry Bernarr Johnson, age 66 of Kings Mountain, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at Atrium Health, Charlotte.  He was born April 1, 1957, in Cleveland County to the late Thomas Hazel Lee Johnson and Leah Johnson.  Kerry was a hard-worker and faithful provider for his family, often times, holding down three jobs at one time.  He enjoyed working outside and going fishing.  He was an avid Redskins fan and loved to play checkers.  Kerry adored kids and cherished his time spent with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gary Johnson; and sister, Rhonda Johnson.

Survivors include his significant other of over 40 years, Barbara Ann Crosby; children, Kisha Byers (James), Ecquetin Johnson (Lindsey Fowler), Phillip Crosby (LaChelle), and George Crosby (LeSheena); grandchildren, Milani Crosby, Tegan Crosby, Malik Crosby, Erica Crosby, Alisha Giles, Trevoris Crosby (Tonisha), Colton Fowler, Chloe Fowler, and Jayla Johnson; great grandchildren, Kamriana Borders, Layliana Giles, Amiyah Crosby, and Mykiah Spence; brothers, Berwyn Johnson (Sharon) and Byron Johnson (Shermeka); sisters, Paulette Charles, Pastryl Robbs (Kenneth), Malva Johnson, Meah Bell (Sammy), Chiquita Womic (Michael), and Tonjua Johnson; sister-in-law, Kathy Johnson; and brother-in-law, Alvin Goodwin.

The family will be holding private services at a later date.
