Louise Rhom

Maggie Louise Roper Rhom, age 85, of Marcus Dr. passed away Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Alexandria Place. She was born December 18, 1932 in Cleveland County to the late Jasper Young "J.Y." and Brunie Poole Roper.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Rhom; son, Jerry Thomas; and siblings, Bertie Trammell, Jack Roper, Donald Roper and Dorothy Black.

She is survived by her daughters, Betty Jo Trejo of Bessemer City and Joyce Ann Thomas of Cherryville; grandchildren, Jorge Trejo and Paula Thomas; and a brother, Johnny Roper.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Carpenter-Porter Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial will follow at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday prior to the service from 2:00 until 2:45 PM at the funeral home.
