Mazelle Mcneely

/Mazelle Beam McNeely, age 92, of Cherryville Hwy., died April 9, 2013 at the Robin Johnson House.
She was born on May 2, 1920 in Cleveland Co., a daughter of the late Frank Luther and Sally Baxter Beam. Mrs. McNeely was a long time member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church and owner of McNeely Oil Co. in Cherryville.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Tommy Lee McNeely, brothers Dwight, Bryan, F.L., Kent and Cranson Beam and sisters Viola Eaker, Madeline Beam and Josephine Beam.

Survivors include her sons Bill McNeely(Brenda) and Tommy McNeely (Sandy) both of Cherryville, three grandchildren Jodi McNeely Beam(Scott), Cherryville, Brent McNeely(LuAndra) of Cherryville, and T.J. McNeely (Lauren) of Charlotte, six great grandchildren Devan Beam, Leah Griffin, Macie Beam, Zack McNeely, Jordan McNeely and Ruby Claire McNeely, three sisters Sue Phillips of Charlotte, Gonza LaHood, Valdosta, Ga., and Nancy Beam of Dobson, NC and sister in laws Edith Ellen Beam of Cherryville and Marie Beam of Valdosta, GA.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 AM at Mt. Zion Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Key officiating with burial in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services Wednesday from 6-8 PM and at other times at the home of Tommy and Sandy McNeely.
