Patricia Sigmon Schubert

Patricia Sigmon Schubert, age 84, formerly of Charlotte, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2024, at her residence in Elizabeth City, NC. She was born January 17, 1940, in Gaston County to the late Rufus Eugene and Vida Mauney Sigmon. She was a member of Harbor Presbyterian Church.

Trish (Pat) was a humble servant of Jesus. Nothing brought her more joy than giving her time, heart, and energy to everyone around her. Her family, friends, neighbors, and church family were all blessed by the countless hours she spent serving them, visiting them, or calling to sing to them on their birthdays. Never one to be the center of attention, she always looked to consider the interests of others as more important than her own. She is now with her Savior, and has heard, “Well done, my good and faithful servant.”

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her six brothers, J.T., Harold, Paul, Bill, Dennis, and Jimmie Sigmon; three sisters, Elsie Sigmon, Christine Sigmon Brown and Meredith Sigmon Moore; sisters-in-law, Pat, Deanne, Betty, and Marie Sigmon; brother-in-law, Gary Moore; two nieces, Suzanne Sigmon and Meleia Garcia; and nephew, Jeff Brown.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Larry Schubert; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Lindsey Schubert; grandchildren Adelaide, Beckett, Greta, and Harris; brothers and sister-in-law, Martel Sigmon, and Tim and Becky Sigmon; sister-in-law, Dot Sigmon; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 1:00 to 1:45 PM at Sovereign Grace Presbyterian Church, 3326 Archdale Dr, Charlotte, NC 28210 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM with Rev. Dean Turbeville officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 5:00 PM at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery, 300 E Church St, Cherryville, NC 28021.
