Richard McRorie, 88, of Church St., died Tuesday, June 23, 2020 at Carolina Health Care Charlotte. He was born on June 20, 1932 in Mecklenburg County, a son of the late Richard and Myrtle Mae Hampton McRorie. He was the owner of Petroleum Tank Service and was a veteran of the US Army serving during Korea. Richard enjoyed Facebook, talking politics, fishing, and his family.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Turner.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Bertha Martinez McRorie; children, Marie Howard (Rodney) Columbia, SC, Donna Hunt (Larry), Salem, NJ, Morgan McRorie Vickers (Matt), Cherryville, Cindy Brennan (Lee), Tim Christopherson (Leslie), Lincolnton, and Richard McRorie, Jr., Pittsburgh, PA; sister, Nell Frances Ross (Rodney) Lincolnton; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and numerous other family.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday June 27, 2020 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM at the home.
