Ricky Fraley

July 17, 1963 — September 13, 2016

Ricky Eugene Fraley, age 53 of Creek Run Court passed away September 13, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born on July 17, 1963 in Gaston County to Juanita Clanton Fraley of Gastonia and the late Melvin Eugene Fraley. Ricky was a 1981 graduate of Cherryville High School. He served in the United States Air Force from 1981 to 1983. Ricky then attended Gaston College and became a certified Electrician. He was formerly employed with Lake Electric, Maiden and was the owner and operator of REF Electric. Ricky was an active member of First Baptist Church, Cherryville where he was a member of Bill Barger's Sunday School Class. He was also a member of the Traditional New Year's Shooters. Ricky loved NASCAR.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Ashley Fraley and fiancé, Michael Spencer of Bessemer City; grandchildren, Jay Coley, Jr. and Zadiee Spencer; sister, Tammy Wilson and husband, Gary of Belmont; aunts and uncles, Joe and Gloria Carpenter of Kings Mountain and Tony and Felice Clanton of Gastonia; nephew, Travis Wilson of Belmont; and niece, Kayla Lemponen and husband, Tim of Mauldin, SC.

Services will be held Thursday, September 15, 2016 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Rev. Dr. Vince Hefner officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the church. Burial will follow the receiving at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City.

Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, Bus Fund, 301 E. First St. Cherryville, NC 28021.
