Rita Sue (Black) Lorrey

Rita Sue Black Lorrey, age 80, of West Church Street, passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, at Lincolnton Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 23, 1943, in Cleveland County to the late Edgar Ray “Bud” and Hattie Mae Dellinger Black.  Rita was a graduate of Cherryville High School. She was also a member of First United Methodist Church of Cherryville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Black.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Danny Houser; granddaughter, Ashley Houser Czentye and husband, Chris; and great grandchildren, Sadie and Jackson.

A private burial will held at Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.
